The Sweet Surrender of Janet Buchanan The MacGregors Highland Heirs Book 2 edition by Paula Quinn Romance eBooks

I am a Paula Quinn fan, but I just think this novella fell short and was not typical of her work. Before starting this story, I had just finished The Wicked Ways of Alexander Kidd, which I loved. So this story was just pale in comparison. I just couldn't get into the story and didn't feel connected to the characters. I was actually eager for it to be over. There were some OK moments between Janet and Darach but as a whole I think their romance was too rushed and was not built on enough interaction between them. The plot was a bit disappointing as well. This series has some really strong novels to recommend it but you could easily let this one pass.

The Sweet Surrender of Janet Buchanan The MacGregors Highland Heirs Book 2 edition by Paula Quinn Romance eBooks Reviews

I can always count on having a great story when I read Paula Quinn's books. Janet Buchanan was in another of her books and am happy to read her story. Love historicals and if you like highlanders I recommend this book.
This book was full of friction between two whom were meant to be together. Their love grew even though they'd been apart for months.
This novella gives meaning to the phrase quality vs. quantity. While a novella, The Sweet Surrender of Janet Buchanan gives the reader the satisfaction of reading a full novel with it's well crafted story. Part of the The MacGregors Highland Heirs series, never a dull moment with the story of Darach and Janet. Looking for a highly enjoyable read in a time crunch this is it!
Couldn't finish it
Just another book that has same plot and boring banter with snappish heroine and cheerful hero
Read it because I wanted to try out this author for first time
Nothing original or funny halfway through book
I'm a huge fan of Paula Quinn's Highlanders - the bold, brawny men and the courageous lasses who claim their hearts. After seeing the fire between Darach and Janet in The Seduction of Miss Amelia Bell (you don't have to read this first but it will give you a deeper appreciation of Janet and Darach's relationship), I was among the many begging for their happy ending. While only 25,000 words, Ms. Quinn has given me all I desired in this fast-paced, emotional, action-packed story of honor, betrayal, loyalty and love.
I read every highlander book she wrote. Love the characters and the storylines. Can’t put them down. Start with the first, Callum McGregor and work your way though the family. Love those guys.
I loved this novella. Darach and Janet are wonderful leads. Their story started in The Seduction of Miss Amelia Bell. The attraction between them in that book was undeniable. This story picks up 7 months later - with both of them still attracted to the other but still trying to deny it.

The banter between these two is priceless. And Darach's inner musings are hilarious.

This story is short - but it is so good. The love scenes are steamy and Darach's declaration of love is sweet and moving.

I love this series and would recommend it to anyone.
