In Waresville, a haunted tourist trap, there are very few surprises. Vampire attack? Werewolf gang roll into town? That’s just a typical week in the most supernatural town in America. Here, spooky tour buses, magic shops, and haunted houses are on every corner, and it’s an off day when someone doesn’t meet a sticky end. If the chaos stops, the tourism cash stops rolling in.
But when a lake monster resurfaces just outside of town and takes a bite out of a dead body, that’s enough to make even these townspeople take notice. Especially Harper Beck, amateur sleuth, witch, and the woman with the bright, green Afro wig. With her friends and her sexy, detective husband, Wyatt Bennett, by her side, Harper thinks she can take on anything. Her theory is about to be put to the test.
When her best friend’s ex-husband washes up on shore with a gunshot wound and a chunk missing from him, she snatches up the case. Soon, the mystery unfolds to involve environmentalists, a monster obsessed fisherman, and a whole slew of people who wanted the victim dead. Harper is used to investigating in the seething underbelly of Waresville, but is she ready to take that investigation underwater? With an old enemy’s freedom at stake, she may have no choice but to dive in head first, taking her chances with what lies below. And if Harper isn’t careful, she might end up in the belly of the beast.
Novella (approx. 40,000 words). Eleventh Volume of the Harper "Foxxy" Beck Mystery Series. It is a standalone (reading prior or future volumes not required to enjoy the book, no cliffhanger).
Witching in the Moonlight Harper "Foxxy" Beck Series Book 11 edition by Raven Snow Paranormal Romance eBooks
Spoiler Free ReviewThis is number 11 in the Harper Foxxy Beck Mysteries. I still find these to be enjoyable, funny and entertaining reads. Raven has a good grasp of her characters and the underlying premise of the book is still fresh and fun. It is hard to believe this is number 11.
Basic summary is that Harper "Foxxy" Beck is the proprietor of a 80's Disco skate in a quirky Florida town. She is married to a local detective and is to go to person in solving paranormal mysteries. She has a unique sense of both style and humor.
What makes these fun is that Raven understands the genre. This type of book should not take itself to seriously. It harkens back to the eighties and nineties and the height of humorous fantasy. Written by Esther Friesner, Craig Shaw Gardner, Robert Lynn Aspirin and Terry Pratchett. Raven and "Foxxy" could hold their own among any of these.
If you like humorous mystery or paranormal mystery this should be right down your alley. These are well written, well edited, laugh out loud reads.
Each is a standalone mystery but you might want to read them in order as they do build upon each other. These are clean reads with no graphic descriptions of violence or gore.

Witching in the Moonlight Harper "Foxxy" Beck Series Book 11 edition by Raven Snow Paranormal Romance eBooks Reviews
Harper 'Foxxy' Beck gets the darnedest cases! This murder victim has both a bullet hole and a monsters bite out of him. Stoner Stan is forsaking drugs after nearly burning the Funky Wheel while Jeb is out sick. The dead man is Vic's ex husband Chris....who is NOT a popular man. Waresville has plenty of paranormal creatures, and now a mysterious monster. But who dunnit? Who killed Chris and is framing Peter? The book is, as usual, enjoyable and entertaining, and funny, filled with all the usual suspects. I'm a member of Ravens advance readers group, and this is my honest opinion; read the book, it's good!!!
Most entertaining book I've read n a long while. I almost couldn't put it down.
Foxxy beck back again and with a lake monster, what more could you ask for! Great fun all around. Wow
A winner! Thru trial and error she wins the day. Even with that special something in the lake. Thoroughly enjoyed this book
As I am addicted to this series I always find them to be page turners. This was NOT a disappointment. It had a few twists and turns I really enjoyed.
Raven Snow never fails to please and neither does Harper Beck. I am looking forward to the next installment. Meanwhile, will be taking a look at Snow 's other books.
Harper Beck is a bit icky or sticky. Good for her. The characters in this series always ring true. I love the stories. Ms Snow is a winner. One of the "nutty writers" I enjoy the most
