This is my review and how I see it.

Theodora Taylor has done it again in “His for Keeps.” His for Keeps explores Colin’s story, what happens before and after he tries to steal Josie from Beau (His One and Only) by using Kyra. The characters were well developed and realistic. I love the way her stories connect either by a relationship and/or something that connect them such as video games built by Tiara (Her Viking Wolves).

Colin and Kyra meeting again after many year, only Kyra knew his name and he knew who she was but did not know her name. Colin has become a big country artist and Kyra is struggling to fulfill her dream of becoming a country music songwriter.

This book had me a little curious why Kyra felt the way she felt toward Beau and also why she never said anything to him regarding their actual relationship. I am glad the secret was finally revealed, but the drama. WOW…the grandmother had me hollering when Kyra told her what happen and why she was back at her house. All in all, it was a good read that I read it for a second time. Man, did not think Colin had it in him. Colin is a pure alpha male.

This book is for anyone who doesn’t mind light BDSM (no whips and chains, just a little rope play) and who likes to read interracial (bwwm) stories. If you don’t then this book is not for you.

Okay Ladies, I don't know where to start to express my happiness over this purchase. Theodora Taylor has always been a great storyteller. You know that it's going to be well written. I very much enjoyed the 50 LOVING STATES stories. But the Russian men are and have always been my favorite. But Colin..... Colin touched me so much. He was endearing in His One and Only, but mercy! As a grown man with dark desires running deep! Lawd! He is savage, rough, sex, and sweet all in one man. Charming and mean, hella combination. His emotions are real and he is real with what he wants from Kyra, Purple, Red.... I like her as well. She was strong, a little insecure and flawed which made her perfect for him. I loved her honesty and her mysterious love for Beau. Ms. Taylor, you will always be on auto purchase with me. Ladies, if you are looking for good solid dialogue, funniness and heart tugging love.....this is your book! It is a WINNER!
I started reading this book while I was reading another book & it grab me and I didn't go back to the other book. As I said started this book & fell in love with Colin & absolutely loved this thing you had going with Colin & Kyra ( Red,Purple,Blue& Liz) did I remember all of her alias names). Then you had oh yeah they was one more name Kiki go to meet up with Colin at the cabin & you almost lost me with that encounter!!!! I must say I am not a prude & can get with some S&M & a Dom & Sub but Colin was just plane old cruel & I couldn't find any of it a Turn On!!! I must admit I skip many of those pages because it was such a turn off!!! I had decided your book would not get 5 stars from me at that point and almost didn't finish book but I have read most of your books and love them so I continued on & I'm glad I did even though I still could have lived without that cabin scene I felt you redeemed yourself with a wonderful story of 2 very damaged human beings!! Good Job! Can't wait till next book! Hope that Colin & Kyra are mentioned u left us with a No but I think it was supposed to be a Yes-Right;-)
Though it took me awhile to get into this book, I still rate it a five because while we have the primary hero & heroine for this story, there's were actually other characters from their own books connected.
That did created some confusion to me & caused me to go back to other books in this series to reconnect the links. But that's not necessarily something many readers might like doing. As for me, I enjoyed the research.
I give it a 5star and recommend this read, lots of action, mystery, & wicked loving!
What can I say about the heroine and hero in this story... The heroine Liz is down on her luck and ends up running into Colin the guy that changed her life when she was younger. Colin the hero has eyes for another and uses tries to use Liz as a prop to get Josie to see him as something more than just friends. They start on this rocky road of secrets and deception and end up closer than ever. But their secrets, lies, and untold truth end up throwing a monkey wrench into a HEA, or does it? The one thing I will say about this book out of the series as these two character not only have a lot of baggage but the drama seems to be on their heals at all times. I felt like we spent more time one Liz and her secrets and Colin and is lust for Josie that we missed out on truly developing these characters. Don't get me wrong their friendship and relationship developed an a nice pace but I felt like we didn't start to truly get to know the characters until the end. Hopefully the author will give us some more on these two. Sure there was an HEA but I felt like there was more from these two character. This wasn't my favorite out of the series but I still enjoyed the book.
I like this author and usually try to support her sight unseen meaning I don't have to get a sample to decide if I want the book. However, I was a little disappointed in this book. I think that she did a good job of building the characters and building the storyline. The reasons or motivations for the choices the characters made were confusing. I don't want to spoil the book for others, but I will say that you will wonder what's the big deal when you see the conflict/truth revealed. I feel safe in saying that its a big let down (the conflict). I actually said, "is this the big secret?" I also totally hated the ending. The character started off as a strong woman and ended up very weak - in my opinion. Again, it's all related to her guilt over her secret. The secret that doesn't feel like that big of a deal. Overall, it's not one of the author's best. I think the previous storylines in this series have been much better especially Josie and Beau. The only advice I would give to the author is to stick to the formula that has been working. This one was definitely a digression (the conflict and ending) and I don't think it worked well at all.
